NESTLED IN THE HEART OF THE OZARK MOUNTAINS, A UNIQUE HUNTING EXPERIENCE AWAITS YOU.

Devil’s Backbone Outfitters takes its name from a long narrow mountain ridge and wilderness preserve known to the early settlers as Devils Backbone.

This area is a breathtakingly beautiful and unique blend of Missouri Ozark flora and fauna, characterized by rugged topography, springs and the North Fork River.  A long, narrow ridge supports the center of the Wilderness, with 1,020 feet as its highest “vertebra.”

Not only will you be hunting in the heart of this deer and turkey Mecca, you will be guided by Joe Hollingshad or one of  his staff, all of whom have an intimate knowledge of the terrain and of the game you will be hunting. They know this area as only someone with several generations of hunting experience can.  They are familiar with every hollow, every rock and every trail.

Devil’s Backbone Wilderness Outfitters is now offering 1500 acres of privately owned land.  Mineral supplements, along with forages such as wheat, oats, and clovers are maintained throughout the properties for the enhancement of record book bucks.
